Am looking for "neighbours" - my friends on FB don't seem to like playing! Where should I look for players?
Looking for other players is tough. The whole purpose of facebook is to connect to people you know. There are plenty of groups on facebook for people who like to play. You could join one of those and add people from there as your friend. Just be careful who you add you don't want strangers knowing your information.
is it possiable to turn items cause i have seen images where the white fences are turned?

As of right now the only item that can be rotated on Farmville is the fence. To do this you just click the item and select rotate.
How do you make dollars? I know how to make coins fine, but I never seem to get dollars?
As of right now you have to purchase Dollars with real money. This is how the makers of Farmville make money. I personally enjoy playing for free, so I do not buy them.
How do you water so the plants don't die?
You don't need to water the plants on Farmville.
How do you get the gifts that are
sent? I know that some have been
sent but don't see them.

facebook request upper right section...but they didn't appear on my farm?
When you are at your farm you need to click on the gift or present icon in the bottom right corner of the games screen. Your gifts should be there.
Is it true that your trees will die if you don't harvest them? I like how the fruit looks. (I'm a gypsy for color!) and will your anmals die if you don't "harvest" them regularly?

As far as I know they do not die. Unfortunately I do not have the patience to test that. I get tired of seeing my tree outlined in white and I harvest it. If you decide to test this please let me know your results.

I don't know when they are going to release the 24 x 24.
When it comes to adopting animals every now and then you will have a stray animal come across your farm. If you decide to help the animal it gives your friends the ability to adopt the animal you just helped out. Well the same is true in reverse. When your friends on Farmville help an animal out you may be able to adopt it. But you have to be quick because if someone else adopts it before you its gone.
These messages are displayed on your Facebook home page (where you see all your friends statuses)

Unfortunately no. They have not released the 18x18 expansion. I hope it comes soon.
I just joined farmville, however it seems that I can only help out a friend once. I've already helped out all my friends so is there a way that I can help them out whenever I'd like?
You can only help a friend out once a day. I have done it 2x in one day but I am not sure if that was a glitch.

im starting up school and i was wondering cause my trees all get harvested at 10:30 am and im in school will i still be able to harvest them and the same thing for my animals
To help a friend, click on their picture at the bottom of the Farmville Neighbors section and it will give you the option to visit/help that neighbor. When you get to their farm, it will sometimes prompt you and ask if you want to clear some weeds, shoo some crows, or rake some leaves in which you click Accept. This gives you 20 coins and I think 5 XP. There is a time limit of about 1 day that you can help each friend only once a day.
The FV dollars are a mystery to me, but I have noticed that I get 1 FV dollar a day. But, I also tend to level up every day, as well as get ribbons. So, I have heard both the explanations that you get them from ribbons and you get them from leveling up. Just try each and see which works for you. But, there is always the option of buying them...
You can harvest your trees and animals at any time. I had a friend who wasn't able to get on her farm for over a week, Her crops all died, but she was able to harvest all of her trees and animals when she returned, so I don't think there is a time limit on how long the trees and animals stay ready to harvest.

tricks to harvest, plow and plant without your avatar moving in every field... just put your avatar in prison by putting it inside a fence or squared lined hays... it will automatically harvest, plow and plant your field after you click them... each time you enter your farmville make sure you do it first.. it will definitely save much of your time tending your farm... it works, am doing it in my farm... -roy

Anon - The money that you get paid when you help out a Farmville Friend is not deducted from their total.

How can I expand my farm without buying FV dollars? I am unable to spend any real money on this game but my farm is very crowded.
Well there should be 2 options for the farm size you are looking to upgrade to. One will say have x amount of friends and x number of coins. The other option is for people who want to expand without having many friends.
um.. what level do you need to be at to gift the olive tree?
Level 32 can gift an Olive Tree.

Did you meet the requirement for friends? Either way they deducted your coins. I would contact Zynga.
There are only 60 fv points possible. 15 awards with 4 levels.
Don't spend your valuable fv on expanding your farm. There are many people that need neighbours. type in farmville forum and find pages of people who say add me. It may be advisable to set up a different facebook account for farmville so as not to pollute your friends on facebook with strangers. This will give you all the neighbours you need and give you awards as well. You can then expand the farm. plant the maximum number of crops and avoid the useless farm stuff. on a standard farm you can plant 144 crops. even at the low levels you can plant strawberries and make 11 coins each. In 4 hours whilst gaining the money you get 2 points. Thats about 300 points every 4 hours. After you have lots of neighbours expand your farm and plough the maximum. When you have lots of money, start buying the useless junk to get your ribbons. I bought 20 balloons at 10 coins to get my ratpack award then sold them for zero. got enough money and gifts to make it worth while.
when you visit a friends farm and you see the home button go to there crops and click on it for example i clicked on my friends soybeans and right after that i clicked the home button and it said soybeans 55%, and thats how you can see your neighbors status in their plants.

You can allow your animals to roam free if you like.

when you choose to help an animal it doesnt put it on your farm, it puts up a post that tells people you found it, and if they want other people can adopt it, but you can't because it was found on your farm, but you can adopt animals that were found on other peoples farms
Hey everyone, sorry I have been really busy so I am going to take a min to update and comment on some of your questions that you have asked throughout the site.
Elephants were a 72 hour event and you are no longer able to get an elephant. When elephants were available your friends were able to send them to you as a free gift.
You are no able to plow your friends crops, however you are able to fertilize their crops and help them make a little more money.
Is there a way to convert plowed ground back in to just grass?
The only way to get rid of plowed land is to use the delete tool. (the red shovel)

Whenever I ask a friend to become my neighbour or they ask me to become theirs, it never works. At the bottom of my farm I only have 4 neighbours but I have accepted 6. Am I supposed to be at the bottom as well?
